For those who haven't heard we are expecting another baby around the end of July. My apologies if I should have announced it to you personally and haven't yet. My organization skills are lately somewhat challenged.
Sean will get a little brother, provided we haven't been tricked by the ultrasound pictures. So, we have been discussing names, of course. Sean first suggested we use either Scrufty or Pilchard (the dog and cat characters' names from Bob the Builder). Yesterday, he nearly choked with excitement to say, "The baby should be named Paris Garters!!!" He was eating dinner and thought this joke was so great he spit it out in the middle of a bite of chicken.
Paris Garters for a boy's name comes from the Dr. Suess story, "Too Many Daves." The mother in that story named all her boys Dave and it simply caused too much confusion. So Suess suggests a wild list of alternative names that would have helped her sort out her children.
I am still teaching a weekly English class until into June, but mostly I have been busy with prenatal exercise classes and meetings with other pregnant women. Last time I was pregnant I didn't have any other pregnant friends in Denmark going through the same thing at the same time. My sister who was pregnant with twins at the time was a great resource! This time I am meeting up with five other pregnant women here in Ã…rhus and we are having a great time discussing everything. I am finding this support in the local community very important...I am finding out where to shop for maternity things, where to go to pregnancy swim classes, and what things to avoid or include while pregnant in Denmark to make for a better, healthier waiting time.
