For those who are wondering if they are simply not in the loop...you can stop worrying! Baby boy Millikin has not arrived...and when he does...we will be sure to make an announcement!
We perused the baby name book again last night (a Danish name book). My favorite alternatives to our current choice are: Aksel, Bo, Finn, Gunnar and Roar. For various reasons we won't be using any of these names...but I enjoy entertaining the possibilities that open up when living outside your home country and culture.
Meanwhile, I am enjoying the cool late summer weather, I still have plenty of small things to do around the house to keep me busy...and yes...my reach is increasingly inadequate as this belly of mine continues to expand outward and forward. For this pregnancy almost all the weight has gone right to the front...and soon I'll be as wide in the side view as I am tall! (just kidding)
Chocolate cakes and ice cream. Yum. These are my current cravings. I made a single layer cake and a small tub of frosting and put them both in the freezer....the first birthday cake for the little guy for Sean and Kevin and I to share. My homemaker instincts are on full blast. This nesting thing is a real phenomenon. I'm a little big and a little off balance for the heavy work...but keeping on top of laundry is surprisingly more satisfying than it has ever been. Kevin is experiencing sympathy nesting instincts and this is very handy too!
We feel like we are really settling here in this house now...with all the cleaning and organizing we've managed so far...the last cardboard boxes are slowly making it into storage or out the door into recycling. Wonderful. It soon may appear that we live here instead of appearing as if we are on the verge of moving out. How nice.
Yes, as soon as the newborn has arrived...we will post. Remember, this could be more than a week away from now if history is an indicator!
