In 1999 Angie and I had a garden plot in the community gardens in Bloomington, Indiana. It did really well until August hit. August was so hot and humid that year, and we had to walk over a mile to the gardens, so we only made it there a handful of times. Of course, the poor garden died without anyone to take care of it.
I guess the blog is like a garden, it needs us to take care of it, but it's so darn hard in August.
The first half of the month I was in Germany at the Marktoberdorf Summer School, and then my parents came to stay for the week immediately after that, and then we spent a week recovering and resting. Now, we are already packing boxes for our move to Copenhagen next week.
This is a picture of the Alps, from the excursion at Marktoberdorf. The trail runs along the border between Austria and Germany, with Austria on the left and Germany on the right.
